Purpose Driven Life

You are about to embark on a journey of discovery to dramatic spiritual and personal growth—the discovery that your life is not about you…You were created by God and for God, and when you understand that all-encompassing purpose, life begins to make sense. It is only in God that we discover our origin, our identity, our meaning, our purpose, our significance, and our destiny. Whether you are going to experience this adventure with a small group or on your own, this study will change your life.  This study will give you and your small group the opportunity to discuss the implications and applications of living the life God created you to live.


 


Calm over Chaos

In this ten week study we will learn how to push back against the hectic way of living and find what is truly life-giving.  Our book will be Cultural Detox by Vanessa Reyner which provides attainable steps to reexamine your overcrowded life so you can hear God more clearly and become content with your surroundings and circumstances.  God wants to teach us how to rest and find peace in the midst of the chaos and confusion of this world.  We will talk about how our "hustle" culture can deceive us by promoting the idea that being busy equates to being successful and important.

Bible Archealogy

We will explore how archeological discoveries support scriptural accounts of the Old and New Testaments.  We will base our discussions on Expedition Bible videos by Joel Kramer and his book, Where God Came Down.  Purchase of the book is optional.  Jesus said, “Because you have seen me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.” John 20:29  Physical proof is not necessary to our faith. But in a world that sees Christianity as one of many belief systems in a world of alternative “truths”, let your faith be encouraged by discoveries supporting the literal truth of the Bible.
